Why did you want to become a blood bank lab technician?

"I knew I wanted to do something that would allow me to work closely with people and learn about healthcare related careers. Becoming a blood bank lab tech was a way for me to become part of the healthcare industry without having to spend a number of years in school. I feel like doing this job will give me an opportunity to learn and grow and also to see if there is a higher degree in this field that I may be interested in pursuing later.
