How do you handle conflict with your management?

Convince your interviewer that you have the confidence and experience necessary to skillfully and respectfully navigate conflict scenarios with your management. It may be helpful to provide a brief example, but keep it brief because most UVA Darden MBA interviews are only 30-45 minutes.

"I have always approached conflict with my management respectfully and authentically. I am open about my thoughts and feelings on the situation, but I also recognize my role. I understand that there are situations that are out of my control and that my management may have information I am not privy to.

For example, I work frequently on government contracts and my manager has a higher level of security clearance. There are times when she cannot explain a decision fully and I know it is my role to follow her guidance given that I do not have all of the details."
