"Bettering my community is going to be a big part of what I do as a physician. I already volunteer at the local children's hospital and plan to continue my volunteer work during medical school and after. One specific way I will help my community members is by holding free workshops every month. The workshops will tackle tough issues the community faces, such as narcotics abuse and increased teen suicide rates."
