"When you place your IT assets in the cloud, you increase the amount of network traffic. This is due to computers, applications, and data being remote to the users. To reduce the traffic on the network and minimize associated security issues, you can place some of the computing power, applications and data at the user locations. This will also reduce data transmission costs and latency. Finally, edge computing will improve the quality of service (QoS) and the user experience."
