Absolutely, I believe accuracy plays an important role in decision making and it saves lots of time of re-work. I try to triple-check my work, as it needs to be clean, neat, and optimized. I regularly do peer code reviews before pushing any changes to production.
For example, the current tool is being used by so many end-users(data analysts and developers), we came to know that doing peer review before doing prod release, reduces chances of re-work by 50%.

But make sure to balance checking with not spending too much time on this part of the process (in other words, will triple-checking your work take up too much time versus running only one or two checks instead?)
