"Clinicians may order different tests to check kidney function, depending upon his or her preference. Some kidney function tests include Creatinine level, urea level, eGFR (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate). Also, tests for dissolved salts include sodium, potassium, chloride, and bicarbonate, which are electrolytes. Any alteration in the level of these electrolytes may be due to kidney dysfunction."
