What do you think is the biggest problem facing PAs?
The interviewer wants to know whether you are up to speed on changes in the profession because laws and responsibilities are constantly changing. One good topic to discuss is public confusion about what a PA does.
"I think that the biggest problem facing PA's is the lack of general understanding of what PAs do when providing care. The profession is expanding greatly. In my opinion, the largest problem facing PAs is a lack of advocacy in their scope of practice and the way they are utilized in healthcare. PAs need more advocates that are setting standards across states for the way they are utilized in different healthcare settings. PAs need a seat at the table for all important decisions that are made regarding their profession.
