"I think that the biggest problem facing PA's is the lack of general understanding of what PAs do when providing care. The profession is expanding greatly. It will be important as PAs take a primary role in patient care that people are well informed about what their PA can do so they feel comfortable about the transition."

I would say career advancement, the volume of work, personal/work-life balance, and staying up-to-date with state legislation.

While it appears that you're aware of several issues facing PAs, remember that the question only asks you to talk about one of them. Which of these problems is the most significant one? Pick one and talk about it more in-depth. Also, to further impress the interviewer, discuss some ways that PAs can overcome this problem. Good job!

In my opinion, the largest problem facing PAs is a lack of advocacy in their scope of practice and the way they are utilized in healthcare. PAs need more advocates that are setting standards across states for the way they are utilized in different healthcare settings. PAs need a seat at the table for all important decisions that are made regarding their profession.

Wow! You sound like you have a strong opinion about this, which is great. Why do you believe that PAs lack advocates? Have you personally experienced a lack of state standards? The more details you can provide here, the more knowledgeable you'll appear to the interviewer. Great job!
