QUESTION 5 OF 31

What are your thoughts regarding using stem cell transplants to treat degenerative neurological disorders?

"I do not have a lot of personal experience with stem cell transplant information. However, I would like to think that I would be supportive of any efforts that may offer hope to victims of any disease process."

"I think the idea of using stem cells to help treat neurological disorders is exciting. I have done limited research on stem cell transplants and am hopeful to have an opportunity at some point in my career to participate in care that involves stem cell transplants."

Although many people are supportive of stem cell research, the idea of transplants is still a subject of controversy in many circles. It is always wise to speak positively about a subject, even if it may be a controversial subject. The old saying, 'you don't have to agree with progress for progress to happen' is especially true with medicine.

"I feel like anything that we can do to help improve someone's quality of life and provide hope is something we should do."
