"I understand that prescription drug abuse is an epidemic and that, as a pharmacist, I must be diligent when it comes to recognizing the signs of abuse in my customers/patients. I have researched this social issue a great deal. Some signs include a patient being adamant about receiving a certain brand of drug, doctor-hopping, appearing under the influence, and even forging doctor's prescriptions. I will be committed to diligence and awareness of this social issue during my career. I would handle a situation like this according to the policies and procedures of my employer."
