"Truth be told, I don't have much of a sweet tooth. I prefer savory and salty over sweets any day. That's why one of the staples in my pantry are Cheezits. Boy, I love those cheesy little square crackers. They're beyond addictive. I debated for years that there's gotta be an addictive ingredient in them. Now that I have you here, am I right? What's the secret ingredient?"

"I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Communications and Marketing from UBC in 2009. Since then, I have been actively making my way to a leadership role in social media marketing within the hotel and hospitality industry. "Life is full of stress. But I rarely let the stress get the best of me. I try to respond to the stress and not the situation, enabling to solve the problem at hand. I try to identify and diffuse stress trigger and promptly explore the realities behind a stress response. Overcome stress, overcome task paralysis, remain flexibility and develop a plan. Sometimes stressful situations are avoidable, sometimes not. But limiting their frequency or duration is how I cope with stress. You got to remain proactive. I guess I deal with stress by being mindful to respond rather than react."

If you feel overwhelmed at work because of poor time management, you might bring more stress home from work, not sleep well, and not perform at your best. He ended up getting some additional training to get on the same page as the rest of the team."

"I handle multitasking and keeping my eye on every ball I have in the air like a pro, and when you call my references, they will attest to this fact. When I am under pressure on the job, I focus on the task at hand and make sure not to get distracted. If I have to set that task aside for a more pressing matter, I track where I left on and switch gears as needed. Staying on deadline is the aim, and I will delegate when necessary."

"A customer called me very frustrated about a problem with a shipment. I listened and told them I would be happy to help. I asked more questions to understand the problem and then suggested once I had a better idea of what might solve it. The customer was very relieved and grateful that I took the time to listen and make sense of the issue."

"Attendance is very important to me, so much so that I have a track record of showing up early to my shifts. I keep my day organized and stick to my routine as much as possible. No matter what alarm clock you use, the snooze button is there. I never hit mine. I keep a jar of chocolate-covered espresso beans next to my bed. When my alarm goes off, I grab a few of those and pop them in my mouth. Then I'm ready, and I almost always get to work early. This gives me time to stroll through work, saying my hellos, checking in on an individual level, and keeping a sharp eye out for any details which might grab my attention. Then I check my inbox and review anything new or urgent. I review the priorities I tracked the evening before, adjust them accordingly, explore my resources, and get to work. If I have a lot on my plate at work or at home, I evaluate every piece of the puzzle. I make it all fit into my week. Just spending that bit of time at the forefront to strategize my week allows things to feel more sustainable. I'm proactive, I guess. Reaction is rarely sustainable, in my humble opinion."

I have also proven myself to be flexible to stay late when I need to finish a project or if one of my co-workers needs assistance."

It was the right thing to do. Not sure if my attitude had anything to do with being one of the few who were hired back on a few months later. Regardless, I consider myself one of the lucky ones."

I was in charge of scheduling and traded shifts with this supervisor. They didn't prefer the midday shift. Neither did I prefer the morning shift. At first, it upset the morning crew that they had to provide their own meals. But under my supervision, productivity and morale improved, and our superiors were able to further develop and direct the supervisor who was struggling with incentivizing their crew."

"I am impressed by the way your company has adapted ABC product for individuals with gluten intolerance. I know that the increasing awareness of these types of allergies and auto-immune diseases is taking a toll on the sales for some companies because people are becoming so health conscious. It's great to hear that you are so competitive within the industry, always taking an innovative approach to making changes to ABC product."
