"The company was first started in 1932 and grew and grew since then, merging with PepsiCola later. Now, their the biggest and best snack and drink company ever. I also know they call it the Pepsi Challenge, not the Coca-Cola Challenge. I've always been more of a Pepsi person. Fun fact."

Familiarize yourself with who their CEO is, who they replaced as CEO, and where they are headquartered. Anything they advertise with pride is worth familiarizing yourself with before your interviewer. "My coworker was a great salesman but horrible at the administrative side. He made many mistakes and showed no signs of improvement. It bothered several teammates who took pride in the quality of their work. I decided to talk with him and found out he wasn't very clear about expectations or how to do some of the basic aspects of the paperwork for each sale. I then coached him a bit and encouraged him to take on additional training to get on the same page as the rest of the team. He did so, and the problem was fixed, benefitting everyone."

Your interviewer is curious about what you perceive as a conflict and how you react. Responding to a conflict can be tough, especially in a team environment where you want to be sensitive and not step on any toes. "Customer service means to stand by your product, share your enthusiasm for it, and be both a customer and a representative of the brand. If your customer is unhappy, make them happy. For example, a customer called me very frustrated about a problem with a shipment. I listened and told them I would be happy to help. I asked more questions to understand the problem and then suggested once I had a better idea of what might solve it. The customer was relieved and grateful that I took the time to listen and make sense of the issue."

How do you handle situations that could cause you to be tardy or absent?

"I always arrive to work at least 15 minutes before I am expected to be there to give myself extra time in case something happens. I also make sure I have the numbers of my co-workers and boss so that I can call to let them know if I'm stuck or might be running late."

How do you feel about undergoing a background check and drug screening?

"I saw online that a background check and drug test is a requirement. I have no problem with either. I don't do drugs and have a clean record. When do you perform the drug test, and how frequently is it required? Would I have to go to a clinic, or is it done on premises?"

"I noticed the numbers were off on a shipment I delivered to a customer. They had ordered 30 cases, and we were only delivering 25. When I made the delivery, I let the customer know we would deliver the additional cases the next day and called my manager to find out what went wrong.
