Tell me about a time you went above and beyond the expectations of your position to care for an animal.

"At one point, I was temporarily laid off. At that time, there were a few animals that I worked with that responded very well to me but not to other staff members. While I was laid off, I volunteered to come in for a few hours each day to continue to work with those animals. I did not want to see those animals stressed or experience setbacks while I was not there to care for them."
