- "I used to when I had a 2001 volvo s60. I did a few oil changes myself. When the alternator went I had shops quote me prices. I asked for a breakdown of labor and parts. Then bought my own parts, marked them with red sharpe. I watched videos and read instructions how the job should be done and over inspected the shops work. Same thing for the timing belt."
