As a Substance Abuse Social Worker, you should work well with people since you interact with clients, family members, and coworkers daily. People considered a 'people person' are outgoing, extroverted, friendly, compassionate, and approachable. Many therapists, social workers, counselors, and psychologists are considered 'people persons,' and the interviewer wants to determine if you have these traits.
