Slot Attendant Information
March 9th, 2017

Slot attendants liaise between guests at a casino and the casino's management. Each slot attendant is responsible for a specific number of slot machines. They make sure that all slot machines that they are responsible for are working properly. If a slot machine malfunctions, the slot attendant makes sure that it gets repaired as quickly as possible so that the casino does not incur any losses. In addition to tending to the slot machines, slot attendants also make sure that all players are comfortable and behaving politely and not causing a nuisance in the casino. They call security to immediately escort loud, abusive and unruly guests out of the casino.

There are no minimum educational requirements for this job. To work as a slot attendant you must be alert and decisive. You must also be personable, courteous and confident, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Some work experience, however limited, will help you answer interview questions more confidently.

Prospective employers are looking for a slot attendant who is confident and capable of keeping things under control in the casino. They want someone who can work independently, make quick decisions when necessary and are firm yet polite with customers. At your interview for a slot attendant job, your interviewer will want to know why you chose this career and what makes you a good fit for the job. They may present a mock disruptive situation inside a casino and ask you how you would handle it. Reading through slot attendant mock interview questions is a great way to shore up your confidence before the interview.
