"I have been writing nearly my entire life, but went to college to learn to fine-tune my screenwriting skills to include commands and stage cues. I feel one of my strengths is developing characters and elaborating on scenery."

The candidate should discuss their writing experience in the past and how it has developed over time. The candidate should discuss their other writing experience and how it relates to the job they are applying for as a screenwriter.
