If you do not have banking experience, think about other roles you may have worked in that required cash exchanges including retail, sales, office management, etc.

Briefly describe your cash handling experience in and outside of banking. Then indicate that you are trustworthy and will diligently handle all monetary transactions with integrity.
If you do not have experience, walk your interviewer through an example from your past that will convince them you are trustworthy.

Answer Example
I began handling cash in high school. I worked in a business office and accepted various forms of customer payments. I also handled deposits frequently. In college, I worked as the lead cashier for an auto dealership service department. I handled customer payments and I also managed a petty cash budget. I always paid great attention to detail and my employers trusted me with large sums of money. I know I would show the same level of integrity and accuracy here at XYZ bank if hired.
