This is a classic interview question that you should expect and prepare for. The interviewer wants to a chance to get to know you both personally and professionally. Provide some background information on your education and career and tell them a little bit about your life outside of work. Allow the interviewer a little glimpse into your life and who you are.

"I taught for 14 years at two different schools ever since I graduated from ABC college. I earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership while teaching and became an Assistance Principal three years ago. I have loved being on the leadership team side of things and have learned so much from my team and the principal that I work directly with. She has really helped develop me and challenge me because she knew I wanted to work my way to a principal position. I absolutely love working in education and seeing the impact that education can have on a child, a family, and a community. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children who are involved in various activities. We are very active and love to travel and explore."
