How to Answer
The candidate may name someone, whether it is someone in the field of political reporting or beyond it, who inspires them to grow in the job. The candidate should give the interviewer an idea of someone they hope to become or learn from.
Answer Example
"I am inspired by my mother, who was a state senator for ten years. Although she was not a reporter, she influenced my love of politics, and taught me the inner workings of politics. It gave me a strong understanding of what I will be reporting on."
