Interviewers like to see that you spend some of your time giving back to your community or to a group that is close to your heart. It can say a lot about your character. If you haven't volunteered, let the interviewer know that you are anxious to give time back to your community once you find the right opportunity.

"Yes, I currently volunteer for the Kids Cancer Foundation. I have also spent time volunteering at the local animal shelter. I believe in showing care and compassion during my work hours, and outside of them. It's an important part of who I am."

I do I think I have gained lots of experience though my placements expecally ccac.

I have no volunteer experience but plenty of care experience and belive it's all relevant in the ot sector as alot of the position is caring.

I currently work for hospice supporting patients at home and on wards.

From my work we sponsor local charity so I have spend some afternoon at the over 60 plus charity. Helping with serving lunch, playing bingo, snakes and ladders.

Yes, I volunteered in a pediatric facility in the Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Departments. This helped prepare me for this career because it let me see what a typical day as an Occupational therapy assistant would be like and it let me see different creative ideas for treatment sessions. My volunteer experience also allowed me to see patients with all different disorders and learn more about their weaknesses.
