      A columnist is in a unique position that allows them to write in their own voice, largely unrestricted by the publication. Hiring managers are looking for someone who is unique in their writing and ideas and will draw people in to read the newspaper. The candidate should discuss their writing style and what makes it more special than any other candidates.
