"I avoid escalations as much as possible, but I have encountered problems that were impossible for me to solve. One year, I was managing a high-value campaign for the holidays. We only had five business days to turn marketing collateral around -- a minute-long promotional video. Our video editor submitted the first version, but the brief was clearly not followed; it was just way off. It took an entire workday to get this version, so I asked the editor if the edits could be made by the end of the next day. I reviewed the brief thoroughly with the editor.The next day, the video editor turned in the second version, and it was still not up to par. At this point, I made the call to escalate because we were two workdays out from the deadline, and we were not getting any closer. Thankfully, I got the go-ahead to outsource to a more experienced freelance video editor. We forwarded the brief, and they were able to make the necessary changes. We had some minor adjustments to make, but we made the deadline by a hair."

No matter how competent you are as a marketing coordinator, you will encounter problems beyond your control. If I'm negotiating with team members, or putting out fires, then I need to be more firm in my language and tone of voice."

First, I analyzed the engagement rates for each social media channel on which we were promoting the webinar. Then, I looked at the click-throughs for our email campaign. I found out that the most engagement we had about the webinar was on LinkedIn, and the least was on Instagram. Then, I found out that the most signups tied to the email campaign came from a small business association that we had partnered with before. So, I proposed to invest in LinkedIn more and pull the plug from our Instagram ads. Then, I reached out to the small business association to determine if other similar organizations would benefit from the webinar. They introduced me to their contacts, and I connected with them immediately. Because of my analysis, our webinar signups for version 2 went up by 300%."

"Managing multiple campaigns is a regular part of my job at 123 company. I don't think there's a hard-and-fast number to say 'too many,' but projects often vary in terms of how much resources they take up versus their impact on revenue. For example, I could be assigned a project scheduled to run for six months and requires just a two-person team. That would probably take up an hour of my day on average. However, if I'm managing a high-value project that's due in two months, I may need to dedicate a huge chunk of my time daily toward it. What I usually do is keep my superiors informed of the progress of each campaign so that they have a better understanding of how I use my time. If needed, I should be able to delegate tasks to other team members and focus on the overall success of each campaign."

It sets the organization and structure of all the different content assets according to the audience's needs. Finally, every marketing organization should have a content calendar. It helps to plan and schedule content, both evergreen and topical. I've managed content calendars for different businesses, and I've used tools like MailChimp, CoSchedule, and Sharpspring."

The other one was for a restaurant that would send me changes to the food and beverage menus from time to time. Sometimes, I would need to upload videos and write up descriptions for the same client. During this time, I also learned CSS code for formatting text, rows, and columns. If I were to jump into similar tasks today, I think I would be able to pick it up in a heartbeat."

For both channels, I've also managed the content calendars using HubSpot and Buffer. In terms of success measures, I have compiled and presented engagement rate reports, as well as impressions."

After the order went out for the first 10,000 units, I got a call from the printer that their printing facility would be out of order for at least one week due to power supply issues. This would've set us back so much that we would only be able to send the mailers out after Black Friday, which would completely defeat the campaign's purpose. I asked the printer if they could refer us to another printer that would be able to handle the volume, but the only contact they had was a few states away and required way more lead time than we had at that point. So, I called a few smaller printers and asked what their maximum capacity was for short turnaround times. In the end, I worked with three different places to fulfill the order. Although it cost us 10% more than our original printer, we made the time perfectly. Plus, we were able to get extra credit from them."

During the planning stage, I put together concept boards for the party theme and took charge of the collaterals involved, such as the event poster, invites, other promotional items, and even the stage design. On the backend, I volunteered our marketing team to be in charge of the landing page for the event registration, as well as the menu selection. It was very challenging because we had to do the work on top of our daily tasks. I was on the phone with vendors almost every day to go over everything and negotiate prices. The planning took nine weeks in total. Overall, it was a very successful event. We had a turnout rate of 89%. The post-event feedback survey was also highly positive with a 90% satisfaction rate."

I pitched both and supported my proposal with testimonials from users, which highlighted how the tool helped increase the company's return-on-investment. I also ran it by the production team, and they were very excited about two capabilities in particular. The first one had the ability to create messaging threads under tasks. This helped streamline feedback. The second feature was proofing directly through the tool. It allowed the creator to upload images and add markups directly on the images. It would help the team reduce the back-and-forth through other channels like email or Slack when going over edit notes. In the end, management picked the tool that had both features."

The most challenging part of maintaining a budget is actually planning. Unless we've run an almost-identical campaign in the past, there's always a risk of underestimating costs."

For example, my work doesn't involve a lot of video production, so I don't keep up with that topic. However, if there's a significant update concerning advertising on YouTube as a channel, then that's something that I would pay attention to."
