One day at the Post Office our load was extremely heavy... First of the month, heavy parcels, flats (magazines) and regular mail. Our job is to get the mail out to our communities and meet the outgoing truck that departs with our mail by 5:30PM. I could see by 4:30 PM I was not going to finish the route in time to meet the outgoing truck, so I collected all the outgoing mail in the rest of my route, delivered it to the office and went back out to finish my deliveries. This met our bosses objectives, alleviated and need for assistance on my route and the job was done by 6PM.
