Tell me about a time when someone challenged your trustworthiness. How did you respond?

For the past few weeks, I have been acting manager in the absence of the store owner at the company where I work. I am the youngest person that works at that location and am the newest employee. For these reasons, my manager was a little skeptical about my capabilities to manage the store alone. My capabilities to run the store in the absence of my supervisor eased her worries and has proven to be of benefit to Cordially Invited.
I thought about consequences and the effect my actions would have on numerous people. My loss outweighed my gain.
When I was in high school, my coach accused a few of us on the team from cutting the last half of practice, and going home instead of completing the 3 mile run we were supposed to. I was a little offended, but understood why she thought that we did. I explained to her what happened and because I was reliable in the past, she believed us.

My trustworthiness so far hasn't been challenged but it ever was I would respond by saying no matter what happens between us I will never tell anyone even if we get in fights I will always keep your secret safe.
When I was asked to give internal data by a client. I politely declined to do so as it would involve giving out proprietary information.
Eucharisitic minister to an elderly woman who was lonely and asked for more of a visit--my husband to stop in and a longer visit. She relayed our visits to her nephew who wondered why we were willing to get close to her. I respected his decision , backed away and reported it to the parish priest, since I ddint' care for the implied interests.
My friends thought I was making up or being paranoid about an affair going on in our circle of friends. I challenged them to think about my convictions and how the person I loved the most was the person being cheated on.
I don't know what that means.
I have worked in a place where my trust was used and abused therefore making my desire to work there dwindled FAST. I am a loyal person when it comes to my job and when it comes to trust - I take it very seriously.
