Dental assistants assist the dental operator (dentist or other treating dental auxiliary) provide more efficient dental treatment, by preparing the patient for treament, sterilizing instruments, passing instruments during the procedure, holding a suction device, exposing dental radiographs, taking impressions, and fabricating provisional crowns. Dental operators can focus more time on the procedure, the dental assistant then effectively becomes the operator's extra hands.

What procedure do you use to sterilize dental equipment?

I first wash the instruments with soap and a brush, then place them in the ultrasonic, dry them in the heater, then bag and place them in the sterilizer.
 
2.
At first scrubbing equipment, wipe instrument and pack them, then ultra sonic bath last send them autoclave. After that scan the bar code and keep them the right place.
 
3.
Rinse, place in the shacker, bag, autoclave.
 
4.
Ultrasonic cleaning and steam sterilization.
 
5.
Cold sterile in an autoclave.

I am not CPR Certified. The reason as to why is because I've never needed to. And I will get my certification if I am asked to.

It started with dentl assisting school and then after I worked for a fabulous dentist whom was alwasy giving background info on dental related things. From there I have alwasy been inquisitibe and asked questions cause I want to know the answer to it. it helps me understand and in returen I am able to communicate with patients also.

Sound, ive almost completed half of the certificate 3 in dental assisting.

I dental knowledge is radiology, infection control, and chairside assistant. I obtain this knowledge through my instructors at Miller Motte Technical College.

Seeing patients that come into the practice who are not happy about there dental health, and our team being able to make suggestions so they can improve their oral health.

I just graduated from college and this will be my first experience working at a dental office.

Getting to learn so much about the teeth and how to take good care of them.

My best experience was watching the faces of the patient when they got their braces taken off after such a long time. And they can't stop smiling.
