Bank compliance officers are responsible for ensuring that the financial institution they are working with is compliant with all government laws and regulations. They regularly monitor the company's policies and procedures to ensure that they adhere to all legalities associated with consumer lending, mortgage lending, and deposits.
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or an associated field, is the minimum educational qualified required to become a bank compliance officer. Thorough knowledge of governmental and financial laws and regulations is essential. Bank compliance officers must have a keen eye for details and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Doing right thing can take my time most.

I look at the importance of the issue and its impact to the business. I also analyze on whether the issue is urgent. If an issue meets the above criteria its is given priority.

I called for weekly meeting and streamlined certain processes which were not available.

2015 I was working with Mhose project then I helped agents to work with the bank following the policies and procedures governed them given by the bank and I maximized.

I was working on a project for the introduction of internet banking and the what was required of me was to certify whether the project was being conducted in line with the internal policy of product development. Besides checking for compliance with the internal policy in researched further on risk issues associated with internet banking especially operational risk issues with the result that risk issues were well addressed and the project was a success.

Yes once he was going to implement a policy which was little bit against cbk rules and then I gave my suggesssion for its implementation.

Yes, I had a supervisor ask me to change the status on a client on an governmental application for a loan to married filing separately from married filing joint, his reason was by changing the filing status changed the clients adjusted gross income. I felt this was situation where the supervisor wanted me to compromise my integrity and I detailed how the clients adjusted income could only change if client received a raise or a cut in pay that just changing the filing status did not change their adjusted gross income.

Yes, and I came through this by discussing the situation and its benefits.

Yes, there a time when my supervisor did not particularly uphold the value of respect. I decided to have an open and private discussion with my supervisor which was not an easy task because of her attitude. I politely and honestly told my supervisor how I felt because of the disrespect with the result that she stared treating me better from that day and the situation improved.

I had to influence the sales manager to mer the customers.

I was part of a team that had been selected to design a new product that would ensure financial inclusion. Initially the product was to be meant to be offered through the main banking channels but however I highlighted the strategic risk and AML risk issues with the result that the product ended up being offered through alternative channels. This ensured that the most profitable clients for the bank would continue to be serviced thorough the main channels without causing them inconvenience associated with crowed banking halls.
