About Architectural Design Professor

Architectural design professors have expert knowledge of architecture and architectural design. These highly skilled professionals impart their expert knowledge to college students who have taken architectural design as one of their subjects. Some of the specialty courses they teach include but are not limited to interior architecture and design, architectural environmental design and landscape architecture. In addition to preparing and delivering lectures, architectural design professors also prepare course material, assess and grade their students' work, and moderate classroom discussions.
This is a senior position that required advanced education. Most colleges and universities that employ architectural design professors require a doctorate in the field as the minimum qualification. Thorough knowledge of architectural design and associated fields is absolutely crucial for this role. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a good rapport with students are also essential.
Interviewers will want to make sure they are hiring the right candidate for this position as it involves dealing with students. Towards this end, they will ask you a series of questions to establish not only your proficiency in architectural design but also your thoughts when it comes to dealing with college students. They will want to know how you would handle certain challenging situations that typically arise in college classrooms and also your thoughts on the current class curriculum.
