An employee who keeps himself updated with current technology is always considered to be an asset for an organization. Discuss any industry related or tech-focused events you attend, what websites you regularly visit for industry trends, and which animation networks you may be a part of. For technical roles, if you post/contribute to GitHub or similar forums be prepared to show your user stats, code published, etc.

What are you doing to keep current in animation technology?
Excellent service in rendering.
I currently am studying animation, so that helps me with keeping current in technology. I also own several technological devices that allow me to keep up with all the new technology that keeps progressing.
Mainly through social media, news about animation and vfx is always shared by my friends in the field. Also facebook groups like CG meetup, CG society, Renderman World.
I update my software as often as I can and if the application is still buggy, I only use it for tests.
What I am doing is trying to use public technology (like in the library or school) and testing how it could affect my art style.
I try to get information about new upadtes in softwares or follow blogs and websites related to cgi that post new features.
I take online tutorial in animation.
I am currently keep doing in flash.

I'm on almost every social media, such as Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and Wattpad.
I constantly read market specific magazines and online resources.
I follow the latest in gaming technology, including updates to ValveVR, Steam, Xbox, and Sony.
