Agricultural and food scientists are highly qualified in the field of agriculture and food science. They analyze different types of farming techniques and food production operations and use their skills and knowledge to suggest improved methodologies to enhance yield, nutritional value and safety of the produce, among other factors. Agriculture and food scientists spend a larger part of their days in laboratories analyzing data, conducting experiments and creating detailed reports using specialist computer software.

A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and Food Science is the minimum requirement for this job. To work as an agriculture and food scientist you must also love working alone in a laboratory. Depending on the organization they are working for, agricultural and food scientists may either work alone or they may work as part of a team of researchers. Some jobs may also entail traveling to certain locations to conduct on-site research and analysis.
