Question 3 of 30

As an accounting professor, what do you believe is your best asset?

Think of a skill that not only allows you to perform your job well but that may be unique to you and make you stand out. Talk about a skill that not many other professors in accounting may have like an ability to teach a structured subject creatively or a unique method of teaching such as projects or shadowing opportunities for students. This is a chance to stand out from other applicants, and it may be helpful to actually ask others why they see you as a good professor to carry their responses into this question when asked.

      Answer Example

"My best asset is my ability to communicate in really unique ways. I am a visual learner, and I love art. I often use these pieces of my personality in my teaching. You'll rarely find me just lecturing. I'm often using visuals, weaving in creative art and music, and assigning unique projects to help students learn in a fun and engaging way, even at the college level."
