Account executives act as crucial links between a company and their client. The exact list of tasks that an account executive handles depends on the specific industry. In general, an account executive's main responsibilities include meeting clients and discussing their needs, working with account planners to develop a plan that meets the client's requirements, resolving problems that come up and updating the client on the progress achieved.

There is no specific educational requirement to work as an account executive but you must have completed a bachelor's degree in any stream. What is more important for this job is that you have excellent communication and presentation skills and a persuasive manner as well as outstanding negotiation and time management skills.
