However, I also understand that a cumbersome organizational chart can interfere with a company's ability to innovate and launch new initiatives quickly. A well-formed organizational chart also shows me what job opportunities are available to strive for as I gain momentum in my career."

      "ABSOLUTELY!!! I am fully aware of my duties, my tasks, and challenges in a day. But without that leadership from a regional business manager, who gets their direction from the sales manager then there is no structure and without structure, we would be in danger of not fulfilling what is required as a business."

      "Yes, I think this process is essential to workplace effectiveness. It maps out the relationships between the people, their positions within the company, and how they relate to each other. I encourage teams to focus on following the behaviors of the customer being first, followed by the company, and then to always be functional. With this approach, I was able to create a culture of being eagar to win, taking ownership, and teaming up to excel."

      "Yes, I believe it is important. Depending on experience level will depend on the weight of the decision that you make. You need to be able to understand who you can go to, escalate things internally, or to be able to look to someone that you can ask for advice from in a situation like your manager, team member, or someone from another team. For external customers as well understanding who they need to speak with. But you all have one common goal that you strive together to reach."

      "I do think the chain of command is important to follow and respect. In my current role, I have a lot of interaction with various roles in several departments. I feel it's important to understand roles and responsibilities to ensure communication happens through appropriate channels and with appropriate methods. I have learned that it's appreciated to include my manager in communication with other senior leaders in other departments."
