Question 2 of 11
Tell me about your most significant work experience that relates to this position.
Professional Answers Preview
"3 years ago, I worked for Company X in a very similar position. It required less team supervisory experience but additional educational components. The role also involved shift work and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. These factors definitely prepared me for a position like this one."
"I worked in a manufacturing plant making very similar products. Our product was smaller scale, for automobiles, where yours are larger for tractor trailers and buses, but the two are related."
This is a great example as to why it is important for you to review the job description, in detail, before your interview. Have you ever held a similar position to this one? Can you draw any similarities between this role and another position that you have had?

Question 3 of 11
Do you have experience in corrective discipline and terminations?
Professional Answers Preview
"I have been a part of individual terminations and group lay-offs throughout my career. I am comfortable with these types of tasks."
"I do have some. At my last position, our HR department took the lead on terminations, but I was in the room for everyone one of them. I did handle all small employee disciplinary actions. Larger issues were assisted by the HR department."
Terminations and corrective discipline measures can be very difficult to do but, with experience, they do get easier. Talk to the interviewer about the extent of your experience with terminations and discipline. If you do have the experience: "I have been a part of individual terminations and group lay-offs throughout my career. I am comfortable with these types of tasks." If you do not have the experience: "I have not been in a position to perform terminations or hold corrective discipline meetings; however, I would be willing to perform these types of tasks with a small amount of training and research."

Question 4 of 11
What was your biggest take-away from your post-secondary education?
Professional Answers Preview
"My biggest take-away from post-secondary education was the level of discipline that I mastered while there. I could multi-task, focus, and think in a completely different way once I had graduated."
"I gained some really useful knowledge on the art of negotiation. No matter which role I end up in, I feel prepared in the way of great communication and negotiation."
"I learned better time management skills. Yes, I learned a lot in my classes, but the change in scheduling and the format of my day was an eye opener. Learning how to manage my time, schedule, and deadlines is a skill that is necessary for any professional."
What was the most significant thing that you learned from attending post-secondary studies? Tell the interviewer what you value most from this experience.
