When my Manager and Assistant Manager were on vacation, I was the MOD and there was no schedule made and none of the department managers had access to the schedules, so first I had to quickly draft a schedule and informed all employees of their breaks and lunch times.

I had a group leaving for the airport who needed to out in a hurry and a brakfest metting both at tyhe same time . I called another chef from the line to to put out the meeting while I served the the group who had to be the airport. Both completed to satisfaction.

When our ordering systems were down and the orders were due by 12, my assitant had called in and I had to manually record my orders and I enlisted the help of another employee to cover the floor while I places my order.

CHFA show time is a prime example of having to do orders and also get them put away on time. The priority was what was most needed in the store, followed by time limits for orders from suppliersl.

I was on a few archaeological digs--one in Connecticut, one in Ireland, and one in France. Each of them challenged me equally as much to work quickly as possible without losing accuracy and to ultimately be a better worker. The smallest artifact could be missed or damaged if I weren't careful enough. The site in France that I worked on had the largest number of bones because it was a cave that served as a shelter for humans thousands of years ago. One of my tasks was to process artifacts and fill out forms to record the identities, locations, etc.. Of the artifacts from the area that I was designated to. The biggest challenge was removing one artifact without disturbing another.

I talked calmly and slowly. I repeated what they said in different words to make sure I understood the issue and also told them I would work to correct the situation.

We ran out of decaf coffee beans. A regular customer could only drink decaf so I suggested other alternatives one of which she was surprised we offered and ordered it.

Listen calmly and try to resolve problem & or call manager for assistance.

I would listen calmly, I will not obviously scream back at the customer. To solve his/her problem, I would listen carefully and try to solve it. If I am not able, I will ask a team leader to assist this person.

Calmly listen to their entire situation, apologize that the problem had to occur, explain what solutions are available and help them from there.
4.
I would stay calm and first and foremost acknowledge their anger/disappointment. I would not take it personally, because you never know what his/her day might have been like. I would apologize and take steps towards solving the problem at hand immediately.

There was a time that a customer was very angry because she had lost something that was very personal to here, she came to the customer service desk and was crying she had lost her glasses and she said she had looked every where and couldnt find it I told her I would write down her name and number and I gave her the store card and told her I would look for it. I found it upstairs in the cafe I called her and she was so delighted. When she came and picked the glasses up I was not at work but she wrote a rave and rants card out for me. She was very happy and delighted.

Student didn't have access to computer, or know how to work a computer. Walked him through the process of conducting an email, to attaching a file in an email. Spent about 10 hours working with him before he even started his first class.
