When I first started at Horizon North Manufacturing I asked them for a copy of the policy and procedures and I was told that they did not have any copies to give me. I only had information on the rules and procedures by what was verbally communicated to me.
How do you keep subordinates informed about information that affects their jobs?
That's not my a part of my job description.
By letting them know how it is affecting their job.
I would meet them in person to discuss any information that pertained to their job so that if they had any questions they would be able to ask.
Describe a time where you had to work with a group of people to achieve a common goal?
I do this everyday at work. I work in correlation with the process operators to deliver information that can be either lower spec, upper spec, or target spec which is critical in the manufacturing of the product.
Every year we do an inventory count in which the supply chain team has to enter part numbers for the material that was not on the count lists. We only have a few days in order to get all the information entered and do a download in the system. The 6 of us all do the searches for part numbers and stay late if required in order to meet our deadline. As a result we have been able to get the job done earlier than the previous year the last 3 times.
