Adaptability
1. How do you determine priorities when you have multiple tasks at hand?
How to Answer
It is essential to establish priorities when you have many conflicting tasks. In your role at VistaJet, you will be required to be flexible and accommodating to changes that happen every day. Answer this question by examining how you would focus on each priority and how you stay organized. Tell the interviewer about any systems you use to identify top-level priorities and how you complete each.
Written by Jessica H. on October 27th, 2022
1st Answer Example
"I determine which priorities require my attention by thinking about and writing down who the project or tasks impact. If the request comes from a higher-up in the organization and is urgent, that project is usually at the top of the list. I know that I will need to be able to adapt at VistaJet, and I am excellent at time management."
Written by Jessica H. on October 27th, 2022
2nd Answer Example
"I know that VistaJet prides itself on customer service, and in the Marketing department, that philosophy is no different. Usually, priorities are identified by what needs to be done, who it needs to be given to, and its timeline. Shorter timelines often are given higher priority, and longer timelines have more leeway. Tasks and projects with more components typically take longer, so I develop a plan to get them done within their timeframe. I like to juggle multiple things at a time and keep organized."

Problem Solving
29. How would you handle an upset customer during a flight?
How to Answer
This question can be tricky for some. It is tempting to respond with an answer that stops at responding well to upset customers. Focus on how well you handle this difficult situation, but make sure to include your steps to de-escalate a situation or how you solved a problem by asking information-gathering questions. The interviewer wants to see how you problem-solve and adapt in challenging situations.
Written by Jessica H. on October 27th, 2022
1st Answer Example
"I have been a flight attendant for the last two years and have handled many upset customers during flights. The most recent example was a gentleman who kept putting his legs in the aisle. Other customers were getting upset, and so was he. He had a knee condition that made keeping his knee bent for three hours tough. To problem solve, I moved him to a seat near the front that allowed him more leg room to stretch out and kept him out of the aisle for the other customers."
Written by Jessica H. on October 27th, 2022
2nd Answer Example
"I have not worked as a flight attendant before; however, I have successfully handled a difficult customer. In my current role as a Client Services Associate, I have had to de-escalate a customer who was upset with the service he was provided. My first approach to the situation was to ask information-gathering questions to get down to the root of the problem and what had happened. Long story short, I was able to find the root of the problem and offer solutions that provided that customer with what he needed. He left happy."

I was so glad that I was proactive in seeking help."
