Recently, we had several large trucks in a row, and we were backed up on a little freight and quite a bit of backstock. in addition, we had several call ins and were short staffed. it seemed unreasonable to go ahead with our scheduled in stocks tasks for the day, since we were so far behind. I asked Gretchen what we COuld scan, and it ended up not being much. I asked what the in stocks team could do to help the situation. the biggest piece was to backstock. since Wednesday is our cosmetics scan day, I had a couple of seasoned team members bust out the cosmetics freight and get it backstocked, so at the very least, we could get that scanned on time the following day.
