31. When starting a new job, what are steps you've taken to develop a 30, 60, and 90-day plan for yourself?
How to Answer
According to their career site, Stryker offers a robust corporate-wide onboarding program. On top of that, local locations also add to that orientation and initial training for staff. Putting the onus back on you, your interviewer wants to hear how you have planned your own goals for orientating to a new job in hopes that you have a similar type plan if you emerge as their top candidate. As you prepare for your interview with Stryker, you want to take the time to read once again through the job description and think of the important milestones and goals you will have for yourself as a new employee there.

Answer Example
"It's certainly been a long time since I've joined a new company, but the important things to accomplish in the first three months on any job involve people, duties, and processes. If I were to join this amazing team at Stryker, goal one in the first 30 days would be to meet and greet with all internal and external players I will be collaborating with on a regular basis. Starting to build rapport and develop winning relationships is important to me and something I would prioritize in this role. From there, I hope to be up to speed on all things Stryker in my first two months on the job. By working with mentors and training with my new colleagues, seeing the big picture of our work would be important to me. Last, by the end of my first three months here, I would expect to be up and running on my own in my day-to-day duties. I think it takes time to get comfortable and my ability to learn, adapt, and retain information would be a big asset if I were to join this team."
