      1st Answer Example

"A bit about me - I love to travel, read, and conduct research. I am a recent graduate from Columbia University and have spent the past 12 months traveling the world. It was the best experience I could have given myself, as I learned so much from seeing how the rest of the world lives. I returned to the US last month and have been actively looking for work for the past couple of weeks. I am looking forward to getting into the routine of a career again and am excited to do so with Stanford Health Care."

"I’ve been working as an RN for about 3 years now, I was initially from Los Angeles, and that is where I got most of my experience from. I started as an RN supervisor in a Skilled facility where I learned how to effectively delegate tasks and manage care for multiple patients in a safe and organized manner. This provided me with a good foundation of skills as I move on to work in acute care. I did my transition to practice program at the Veterans Affairs hospital during the pandemic in a med-surg unit. During that time, I learned to perform thorough assessments, and procedures, educate patients, collaborate with physicians and other multidisciplinary teams, and most importantly be proactive and adaptable to changes. I expanded my experience and skills by working with the general population on a med surg-tele unit at _______ and as a travel nurse at _______. These experiences have prepared me to be confident enough in my skills and be able to take the opportunity to keep learning something new. And my most recent position is being a home infusion nurse here in the bay area, where I administer IV infusions in the comfort of the patient’s home."
