They never cleaned it out, and everyone would congregate there and trap each other in conversation. I get antsy when I'm not feeling productive. So, that's the negatives but let's focus on the positives. I loved everyone I worked with and I enjoyed the work itself. I felt grateful that the workplace ended up adopting several of my systems to improve workflow and prevent rework. They really recognize you for your contributions. "Fortunately, no. I have been very conscious of the changes and moves I made in my career. However, I came pretty close once. An old supervisor left our company to start their own business, and about a year later, was pretty aggressive in trying to recruit me. They offered me quite a substantial sum over what I was salaried at the time. It was pretty tempting, and I respected them and interviewed them a couple of times. But, ultimately, I gave them a hard pass. It would have steered my career in a totally different direction, and, well, my career goals aren't solely driven by money, and that's all this position really had to offer my career."

"I'm a true believer in the leveling principles of balance. I'd say I have a firm foot planted in both worlds. We all have days, depending on our needs, where we are more focused on team collaboration and the social elements it offers, and there are other times where a singular focus is required for the task on hand. But putting the needs of the work involved aside, I'd definitely say I am both interpersonal and analytical."

"I think my greatest strength is my can-do attitude. The only thing we have any control over is our attitude. So for me, the glass is always half full. Rather, I'm the one who says, in order to achieve that goal, we'd have to overcome XYC. Where there is a will, there is a way. Luck is where you find it, and fortune favors the brave. Let's do it!"

I brought this to the attention of my supervisors and confirmed that this restructure was just a rebranding for the way we were conducting business. I spread the word, refocused everyone's attention on the end goal, dispelled their fears, and shut the rumor mill down."

I am currently making $65,000 a year with my current employer, with a $2000 bonus at year's end. Understanding there is quite a shortage in the workforce right now, they've offered me more if I choose to stay. Also, it seems fair to mention I have pretty good health insurance benefits through work. Traveling to this location would also be quite a commute, and with gas prices where they're at, this could put a dent in my earnings as well. I imagine, due to the distance, it would cost about $150 a week for gas costs alone. That's nearly ten thousand a year in gas. If you don't mind, before I throw out a number, I have some questions. Do you offer health insurance benefits? Is there a remote work option available for this position? Do you offer yearly bonuses? What is the budgeted range that you are able to offer for this position? Are there any other perks worth mentioning?

This question can come up anywhere in the interview, but it more commonly comes towards the end. This not only gauges your expectations but your self-awareness of how the interview has gone. This is where you'll show your hand and how you not only value yourself but how realistic your expectations are. Your expectations may be unrealistic, or perhaps they sell you short. Either can be revealing with your career trajectory.

Find a realistic goal regarding salary by doing your research. Be wary of selling yourself short. Don't aim too high either. The best way to discuss your salary expectations is to use your current earnings as an example. "As far as how'd I'd quantify honesty, I'd say that on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd score a 10 for my integrity, loyalty, respect, and pure intentions. I'd also say I'm not a very good liar, and consistently take full responsibility for my actions. I'd say I am even courageous in this regard."

So, my oral and written communication skills are highly developed. From presentation to confirmation to follow-up, every stage of communication is as valuable as the next. Let me tell you about this time I took every measure to ensure I communicated effectively, how even then communication broke down, and how I prevented an unfortunate situation at work. You see, it all started when..."

If it gets shelved, I'll learn what I can from the experience and move on. I like to think I'm past that, but everyone thinks they're ready until they're not. Who knows what the future holds?"

"I had a co-worker who seemed to be struggling. They seemed sleep-deprived, and their attention to detail wasn't what it once was. I tried to talk to them about it, but they weren't forthcoming about what was going on. I reviewed their work, just to help them out, and fixed a lot of mistakes. It got so bad that I decided it was time to bring it to the attention of my supervisor. They pulled us both outside and gave me a chance to speak first. It turns out they had some pretty serious health issues. They didn't want to miss work because they needed to maintain their hours to continue getting their health benefits. That's when our supervisor let us know they had a program for situations like this and that they wouldn't lose their benefits for missing work."

"That's an interesting question. I think I have to be in the moment at all times and find that emotional balance around the clock. If a person isn't consistently balanced, I don't think they can find a balance when they are under extreme circumstances either at work or at home. Like that old metaphor, when you are on the rim of the wheel you'll go up and then you'll go down, but when you are centered in the hub of the wheel, you are in the immovable spot."

"My co-workers would describe my attention to detail as very strong. I can point out spelling discrepancies in communication and l notice the small things. I look at the big-picture as well, but I've always had a knack for the details. My attention to detail was a point of conversation in my last performance review. My manager was pleased with the level of detail I put into a large project recently. I put a lot of pride into my work and it shows in everything I do."

I take the wisest route I can afford, depending on how pressing the complicated problem in question might be."

I know the time of day is important to consider when dealing with customers on a global scale. I am not opposed to working outside of business hours if I need to communicate with a client across the globe. Other than cultural differences and how the time of day affects their psychology, I'd be interested to learn what other elements come into consideration when dealing with customers on this scale."

"Thank you for asking. I just revisited my five-year career goals, which I do once every year or two, depending on where I am at in my goals. For the next two years, I've set some pretty aggressive goals for myself. I like thinking of it as acting as a cartographer of my future. The nearest destination on my map of the future is learning and picking up new skills and experiences with a company whose goals and values align with my own. Once I've completed my training in that position, I hope to be growing within that organization, being mentored and accelerated toward our mutual goals. I have some charts with me that detail my plan if you'd like me to share them."

It's one of the reasons I am so attracted to your organization."

"I have a few. I truly admire Nicola Tesla for his contributions to humanity, Eleanor Roosevelt for her courage and relentless resolve to defend the defenseless and make our society a better world, and Steve Jobs for being one of the greatest innovators of our time."

"I'll always default to a team-player mentality. If a co-worker called in sick, I would take over what I was capable of. The only time I would draw the line would be if I felt I was being taken advantage of. If my coworker was purposefully inefficient and expected me to pick up the slack, I would likely not jump in. For the sake of the company, I am always willing to go above and beyond what is expected of me, but not to the point where I am being taken advantage of. So, if their behavior was hurting the team, I might consult my team leaders and see if they'd want me to do the work for them or not."

For anyone to be effective at their job, they mustn't bite off more than they can chew or put too much on their plate. The interviewer wants to know how you balance teamwork by establishing boundaries and priorities.

Show your confidence by explaining your willingness to be part of the team and pick up the slack when needed. Maintain your focus on the greater good and know when taking on another person's workload could be detrimental to your success. Present all situations objectively, focusing on the positives.

"Wow, fun question. I've spent time in Costa Rica, Nepal, The U.K., Thailand, Mexico, Grand Cayman Islands, and Canada. I'd really like to explore more of Europe, particularly Germany. I'm a big Tom Twyker and Wim Wenders fan. I love all of their films."
