  1. 1.

If Procter and Gamble hired you today, what would you accomplish first?

      How to Answer

When you start a new position, it is important to set a goal on how you will make a positive impact quickly after being hired. Tell the interviewer what your impact goal is, should you be the successful candidate.

"When we were speaking earlier, about sales targets in this position, you mentioned that most new sales professionals hit their KPI's after 120 days. If I were hired today, my goal would be to exceed my KPI's after the first 90 days. My goal, consistent with Procter and Gamble's values, will be to focus resources to achieve leadership objectives and strategies.I plan to make a positive impact very quickly and show that I am a perfect fit for P&G's culture of mastery, innovation and passion for winning."

      Michelle's Answer

"I know you mentioned that the average tenure in this position, before promotion, is anywhere from six months to a year or more. I intend to prove over the first three months that I am a rockstar in the organization and that I can live out Procter and Gamble's corporate values of leadership, ownership and passion for winning - treating the Company's assets as my own and behaving with the Company's long-term success in mind."

"Set a KPI based on the average KPI set by past employees that started and try to succeed in a given time. It's a way of proving that I am sharing the same ideas for leadership and accomplishment as P&G organization and leave a positive impact within it."

      Cindy's Answer

Great! Goal setting is key to any job. Is there anything specific and job-related you can discuss? For example, is it important to become very familiar with the products, people, or organization? What would you do to ensure success?

"Like I mentioned before, I intend to apply my general strategy from day one in order to exceed my KPIs and provide research and analyses that will help the company grow."

      Marcie's Answer

It's great that you plan to exceed your KPIs and provide research/analyses for the company. Nice! If you want to, you could also discuss tasks that you would complete in the beginning days of the new job like introducing yourself to colleagues and clients, taking time to learn about P&G's products, and speaking to your manager about what success looks like in your new role.
