      "In my current role, as a restaurant server, I go above customer expectations by introducing myself to each table when I seat them. Having that small personal touch makes all the difference. Once the customers know my name, and I knew theirs, they feel more confident in my capabilities. I often have customers coming in and requesting a table in my section. It feels nice to make that connection, and the increase in tips is a nice bonus too! A few weeks after I started this practice, the restaurant manager asked all serving staff to do the same.
