Tell me about a time when you received bad customer service?

"Poor customer service is all too common these days, unfortunately. I was recently at a restaurant where the server was incredibly grouchy. She was impatient and you could tall that she didn't want to be there. When you work in customer-driven environments its incredibly important to put those feelings behind you and deal with whatever comes your way, with a smile."

      What You Need to Know

      By hearing your example of a bad customer service experience, they are curious about how you'll present it situationally, as well as philosophically. Presenting with empathy and an understanding of what good customer service looks like is quite different from displaying yourself as a victim of a bad experience, and with an elitist attitude. Not only are they interested in what your answer will say about the customer service they can expect from you, but it may also inform them of your attitude towards daily life, i.e., are you a glass half empty or half full kind of person?
