"Just recently, I spent some time analyzing and identifying the root causes of our department's underperformance and was challenged with addressing these issues in the most cost-effective manner. After a while, I focused on a multitude of bureaucratic systems, checks and balances that seemed extraneous. So, upon some deep inquiry, I learned many of these measures were put into place as a result of a few poorly performing employees who'd set a poor precedent and were detrimental to the performance of the entire department. But those individuals were long gone, and I felt any such prior issues would be better thwarted through training. So, I led a multi-department team in creating an ethical standards guideline for our organization, and for the work we did, and then streamlined all of our systems accordingly. Within three weeks, the entire department was overperforming and we set some new records."

"This summer, I had to implement an automated ETL template using AWS Sagemaker Studio. While I had extensive experience in Python, I had no experience working with Python in the scope that the company was requiring of me, as they required me to incorporate SQL and other AWS-specific tasks inside a Python notebook, and I did not receive that much guidance as to how the project should be completed. The only resources I could reference were the "Hello World" base case example of how the feature processor library should be used, and the documentation as to what each function was designed to do. I had to use different types of research methods, such as using tools like ChatGPT, along with doing extensive brute-force testing, to accomplish this task. What was supposed to be an entire summer-long project was accomplished in a month."

During the Civil War, both Union and Confederate soldiers sent encrypted messages and intercepted enemy communications. In 1917, the British decryption of the Zimmermann Telegram helped push the United States into World War I. Intelligence derived by solving many Japanese and German systems gave Allied forces an edge in many World War II battles, on land and at sea, arguably shortening the war and saving countless lives.

I spent two months performing intensive research, and the last month putting together the strategy and creating a road map for some control group tests.
