"I keep up to date on new technologies and trends through a variety of sources. I follow three different blogs from industry leaders as well as read multiple articles online per week from reliable sources such as TechCrunch and Mashable."

One way that a potential employer will gauge 'fit' is by ensuring that you are passionate about your particular industry. Show the interviewer that you are passionate about your industry by openly discussing how you stay on top of industry trends. In tech, there is a multitude of variety when it comes to educating yourself and staying up to date on changes. "I keep up on new trends in this industry by taking additional coursework online, whenever possible. I also follow a few of my favorite influencers on social media such as Elon Musk, Guy Kawasaki, and Kara Swisher."

What causes you to feel dissatisfied on the job?

"I can feel dissatisfaction on the job when I am not feeling heard or when there is not mutual respect among the team members. I work best in more harmonious situations where there is little drama or gossip. I appreciate that Meraki puts so much effort into ensuring harmonious coworker relationships."

An example of when I was innovative was when our company was facing budget cuts. I suggested that we begin to operate as though the cuts were already made, in an attempt to preemptively save funds. "Innovation means introducing a new process, or breakthrough in the workplace. A time when I have been innovative was when I built a new tracking system in our company's CRM. I wanted to create a more accurate way to track projects with a simple option for our sales team to update the project stage. The owner of the company loved my creation, and now it's implemented company-wide."

Do you feel it is essential to develop relationships with your coworkers?

"I value my relationships with my coworkers because we support each other and make each other laugh when the work environment becomes intense. I have a coworker that I eat lunch with every day. We've helped each other out by simply listening to what's going on in each other's lives. It's nice to have colleagues who understand you on a personal level."

"I certainly do not enjoy communicating bad news to a co-worker, but I do have experience in doing so. I make sure to practice empathy. Truth is always key, so I will be honest and clear when communicating the news. For instance, if I am to terminate someone's employment, I don't sugar coat the reasons why. It's best they know so that they can learn from the experience."

"When our company came under new management last year many new methodologies and policies came into place. I was able to learn many new approaches to our data analysis and even project management processes. I quite enjoyed the process, and it brought a sort of fresh air to my daily routine."

"Our company switched to an SAP system last year, which I was not familiar. Tell me about a time when you were in danger of missing a deadline. What did you do?

"My team and I were recently under a deadline to complete a global employee satisfaction survey. Our deadline was set to execute the project from start to finish within six weeks. Before beginning, we came across one main roadblock that was going to prevent us from accomplishing this. Global customs would take six weeks to ship the surveys in and out of the facility. We came up with a solution to email the surveys and still include the coding that would catalog the results by location and department. It was our transparency in communications and collaborative work environment that helped us meet the deadline and deliver the results to the leadership team."

"This past year our regional manager wanted to have a new rep hired and trained for the first week of January. She informed me of this only on the first of December. To expedite the process, I requested a budget allowance to hire a recruiter. The recruiter worked fast, and we had an offer out to the perfect candidate in just three weeks."

How long will it take you to make a meaningful contribution to our team?

"Because I have worked for your competitor for the past year, I suspect that my impact here will be immediate. I like to learn quickly and will be immersing myself in your training modules the moment you give me the green light!"

The interviewer would like to know that you are prepared to contribute to Meraki right away. If you were to be the successful candidate, when do you expect to make a viable contribution to the organization? Talk to the interviewer about your plan to create a fast impact. "I am interested in making an impact on your organization right away and have already crafted a plan to make that happen. I am a solid digital transformation professional, and I plan to increase online conversion rates immediately. These actions should amount to a strong increase in revenue within the first nine months of my onboarding."

"I have an interest in all things tech and digital so truly, I would be happy in any area. Of the four, if I had to choose one, I would say that Mobile Device Management is the area I am best versed."

"Currently, I am supervising 12 employees across two departments. In my role, before this one, I managed 23 employees but within a single department. I can handle a large range of employees and welcome any leadership opportunities."

"Although I did not officially supervise anyone in my most recent position, I always had my eye out for opportunities to lead or mentor the more junior staff."

"I completed my Bachelor of Applied Technology from Carnegie Mellon University in 2004. During that time I specialized in Data Management and Analysis. I graduated with a 3.99 GPA, one of the top in my class."

"In my previous role I was fortunate enough to introduce my company to the idea of a gold level service where, in addition to our general customer service, we added on service options. Our customer base responded very positively, and we kept the program running for a few years."

"I have used a variety of team-based messaging applications. I am best versed in Brosix, Slack, and Freedcamp. No matter which system you use I am sure that I can pick it up very quickly."

There are many options for communication software and messaging applications. Give the interviewer a brief overview of the apps you are experienced in and assure them that you can learn their internal system, should it be new to you.

"Although I have not worked with a team based messaging application, I am confident that I would learn very quickly. Which team based messaging apps do you use at Meraki? I would love to get a head start and begin learning."

Working at Meraki, you will experience changes on a regular basis. When have you had to change a significant component of your project due to new information being presented?

"I had a large project last month that was nearly complete when the client called to say that the bandwidth capabilities and equipment requirements they provided were incorrect. Because of this, our team had to re-do the entire proposal. It took us an additional four days of work but, in the end, the client was delighted with our work, and it resulted in new opportunities with them."

Being able to swivel the focus of your project is a necessary skill for your success in most careers. Talk to the interviewer about a time when a significant change occurred on a project. How did you handle the implementation of the new information?

"I would say that being in the software and technology business means changing major components on projects on a very regular basis. I am very well accustomed to changing gears on a moment's notice and can adapt very well." (Give a recent example, if you are able) "

"I have experience in a wide range of industries including healthcare, and higher education. Most notably, I have worked with Enterprise organizations such as Forrester Research and Hewlett Packard."

"I have signed non-disclosure agreements in the past; although I am not currently under one. I see the importance of agreements such as this and am most willing to comply."

I am well versed in the tasks and programs you are asking for and am confident that I meet the strict requirements to perform in this role successfully."
