  1. 1.

What do you do on your best day at work?

      How to Answer

The interviewers would like you to take a minute and bring your work to life for them. Your response will tell them what you enjoy doing, what your day-to-day responsibilities look like, and how you best spend your time at work. Take the interviewers through your ideal day in your current role. Remember to be positive, upbeat, and give some great details on teamwork and motivation.

      Rachelle's Answer

"On my best day at work, I arrive a little bit early, have a hot cup of coffee, greet my coworkers, and then get to work. My best days happen when I start very organized, fully understanding what I have to deliver for the day. My best day will include some social time, like lunch with a client or a quick meeting with a co-worker. Ideally, I have time to deliver my projects and deadlines, map out my following day, and even get a headstart on one or two projects."

      Rachelle's Answer

"For me, the best days are the days when I learn something new, have a few good laughs with coworkers, and deliver over expectations. A great day will include some batch work and planning for the week to know what's to come down the project pipeline. If we gain an exciting new client with a big challenge, that's even better. I love to be challenged."

"My best day at work involves presenting a successful campaign to the client and exceeding their expectations. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a happy client and knowing all the hard work we've done as a team paid off."

      Stephanie's Answer

Great response; the fact that you're committed to not just meeting clients' expectations, but exceeding them, is evident here.

"I have a list of things I want to accomplish at the start of the day. I prioritize and go through the high-priority tasks first and then move on to the next. Maybe at lunch or coffee, I have a good conversation with a colleague and get a fresh inspiration - it could be about my project or even life in general, by getting to know that person better. By the end of the day, I have crossed off all of the items for execution and generated new strategic ideas on how to move my projects forward."

      Stephanie's Answer

It sounds like your best day at work involves a mix of interpersonal interaction, collaboration, and execution of tasks. To add impact, I suggest adding a bit more about the actual work (or specific tasks) that are your favorite.
