First look to see if someone right around me may have dropped it and if there is no one there then hand it in the the office or customer service... It could be someone who doesnt have very much money and may really need that last 20 dollars..
I would give it to my manager telling him where I found it.
I would look around for the nearest person who either came from or walked by that area, and asked them if they dropped something, if no one, put that money in my pocket
Bring it to customer service to see if the customer comes back for it.

2. Do you prefer working in a team environment or alone?
I do well either way... I am a self starter and at the same time when worker together with a team I also thrive.
I am more than comfortable working on my own i have done for 5 years while employees at Fantastic Tan, Also working in a team in environment is very easy to me as I can work well with others.
I can work in either one efficiently, but I prefer to work in a team because if the occasion rises, I will take control of the situation that would be most efficient to the task at hand.
I would stop and assist the customer first by listening to them and then repeating the issue to be sure I understood it correctly.
I work well in either situation and am willing to lead a group or follow instructions. I also work well on my own and complete the tasks assigned in a timely manner.

7. Tell me about a time when you did not have enough time to complete all assigned tasks. How did you prioritize?
I prioritized my tasks by urgency and importance. I am great at organizing my time so I would dedicate time slots in my head for each job and make sure each job was done right and the most important jobs done first.
I always prioritize work based on when the provided task needs to be in effect accordingly sort it out and completes them.
By doing tasks in order of importance and if I notice I wont have enough time to finish ask another staff member who can help you.
I prioritized the more urgent tasks with more immediate deadlines. Those are the ones with the most at stake.
I looked at all tasks assigned and first completed those with definite deadlines and completed those first. Next I completed the tasks that would bring in the most sales while keeping the store looking presentable for shopping and the tasks I couldn't complete I would ask for help from a co-worker or finish on my next shift assuming the task could be left until then.
8. Describe a time when you disliked company rules in your last job?
I disliked when our owner told us we should let people have extra stuff and Share one all you can eat for four different people. I just couldn't understand why we would chose to loose money.
I would say overtime. Much as I would love to do overtime we can't work any.
Our shoes had to be completely black, so if you for instance found a pair of shoes that were comphy yet not entirely black, you couldn't wear them.
I disliked the fact that at certain times we would have to carry the phones around in our aprons and answer it when people called. i felt like it slowed down my productivity in everything else.
9. Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond for customer service?
I went looking for a product and didnt stop until I found it.
A couple of elder ladies ordered food and her burger was not the way she wanted it. She was inside and I acted like a waiter at a restaurant, not just some fast food. Went up to talk to her, went away, back, until she was pleased.
There was a time when I was working at Marshalls when and older woman started to ask me for assistance in my area in the lingerie section. She told me what size she was and requested that I assist her in trying on bras over her shirts to see if they would fit, I insisted that she use a dressing room but she didnt want to, I stayed and pleasantly assisted her for 30-45 min trying bras on over her clothes.
I always try to go above and beyond because if i was in another persons postion i would like someone to help me above and beyond their expectations.
we did not have a product the customer needed I called to other stores to find product. Assisted pt to car. Assist pt with transfers.
10. Describe to me a perfect retail environment?
A place that is well organized, clean, and arranged in a manner that attracts the customer to every part of the store in a unisom, flowing way. Also a place that has employees that look approachable and ready to help.

12. What steps do you take to solve a problem?
First see what problem is, try and help, are get someone who can help and follow thru.
I try to figure out what the problem is and then visualize what are some ways that can solve the problem.
Listen, write down the issue, check facts, find a solution.
I would look at all the facts and ask the people who are involved in the problem to contribute their input. I would look at all the positive things and negative things and how it will impact others. I would try to find a solution thats cost effective and have the least amount of negativity.
I first take into account exactly what happened that caused the problem, by asking the people involved , and then determine the best possible solution that has little to no consequences and impacts the situation in a positive way.
13. Tell me about your experience in working in retail?
I love talking to customers and helping them in any way I can. I have had a lot of experience working in retail from working at Kmart when I was a teenager in a few different position like checkout operator, front end controller and also in a the plasticware department. Most recently at Bunnings as a register operator in a warehouse inviroment. Duties including serving customers, keeping a clean and safe area, collecting trolleys and helping out on the service desk answering phones and processing returns.
I dont have that much experience in retail but I know that you have to know where products are and be able to describe and compare different products to the customer based on their needs and to be able to suggest products that are useful based on that customer.
I have cash experience and i have merchandise experience.
I have enjoyed the human interaction. Satisfying customers and co workers alike in a way that makes them feel valued has made retail work fulfilling and kept me interested.

14. What are some of your weaknesses?
Some of my weaknesses is be interviewed and working at the first time because i get nervous and afraid working at the first time because they might get at me for being slow...but i over come my weaknesses when i get along with it.
I am a perfectionist when working which can make me slow at times. But the end result will be that the job is done right and I can move onto the next job.
I tend to focus on perfecting the littlest of things, which can be bad because it makes me a little slow on the job sometime, but i have fixed this weakness.
A little shy, like things done a certain way so dont always ask someone for help as much as I should.

This morning. I helped set up some displays and ended up finishing the job myself in record time.
At my current job, we are responsible to get food prepared and delivered in a timely manner for catering. Working as a team is very important during our scheduled caters because we need to satisfy our customers.
At Grocery Outlet my present job and my role was making sure the aisle looked nice in organized.
During a computer class assignment at school. We had to program a vacation travel. My role was to find the prices of passports, of itinerary, and food. I did my job very well.
The last time I was part of a team effort was when I was working with Statistics Canada and I was the crew leader assistant.

Whenever I work with someone i dont get along with i always keep it professional.
I believe working as a team and in order to work as a team we should all act civil we may not have to talk to eachother but in the end thats kind of a good thing because it causes a less dramatic workplace.
I try to get along with everyone, If someone doesn't get along with me its usually their issue. I stay polite and because of my great patience I can tolerate a lot of negative behaviour, usually negative behaviour will end up backfiring on themselves and alienate them from the rest of the co-workers.

Worked with a staff member who had poor follow through with customers.... I would attempt to inform this person in a friendly manner of the customers concerns, and ensure follow up was done by the other employee.

I would try to calm down the customer and find out what the problem is and try to help them with the problem.
I had a lady that was upset that the bag she had purchased was bigger than she expected. I apologized and showed he bags that were similar but smaller.
I had a customer one day when I was working on the service desk that was returning a budget drill. You could see it was well used and I could tell by the guys shirt he was in the building industry. He was very upset that he was sold junk as he called it. I told him that I just needed to speak to a supervisor in relation to what we should do. I phoned the coordinator relayed all the information and in the end I was advised to give him an exchange or refund as he was a potential customer that would spend a lot more money with us in future years.I kept calm and sympathized with him and he calmed down and exchanged his drill.
At my other job I wouldnt sell beer to someone so I stayed calm and called a manager.
I had a customer call me not knowing how to work the item he just purchased, I had him pick up the instructions and re- read them.

I would definitely try it I would love to socialize and see peoples opinions with the products. It looks fun.

I helped someone achieve their desired school grades.

I am always helping the seasonal employees, rather it be proper blocking done, organizing go back carts, finding products in the warehouse, or explaining what we it takes to close the warehouse as a team.
I helped my manager at Papa Johns maximize his bonus potential (beat last years sales for same month by 6%) by planning and executing local marketing strategies.

I get along with others no matter what the situation is, very cutious, people person.

Stop dedicate my time with the customer listen patiently and assist them anyway i can.
I would try to remain as pleasant as possible while completing the task at hand. There's no need to be rude.
I would stop and assist the customer first. I would find out what the customer wanted or expected, and assist if possible.
Stop what I was doing, find out the problem, see if I can find the solution, if I can't, tell the customer to please wait a moment while I get a supervisor.
Always stop what you are doing and take the time to listen to the customer. Do what it takes to resolve the issue fully before returning to your tasks.
31. Tell me about a time when you had to be a leader. How was the outcome?
When I was the only person in my department. I had to step up and handle the work flow for two floors.
Planning family vacations I do all the plan and make sure everything is according to shedule and going smoothly.
I had to put up a display I got help lifting it and achieved my task.
Sometimes you need to take charge, some people may not like it but as long as I do what I am suppose to, the job will get done.
I trained a crew of three, I would give them ideas on creative up selling.

I'd say no , obioulsly . then head on to the manager and tell them the situation .
No I will definently not help you steal and you should not either, do you know what kind of trouble you can get into and you will loose your job and you will never be able to work in a job like this again. Then Confront the manager.

I would like to start as a stocker, I was told by people who used to work at Costco that working as a stocker would help you get a better idea of how things work and the logistics that actually go on.
There is no preference as I am always eager to try different things and I like how costco changes things up.
I would like front end it is busy and so much variety to make sure the customer leaves happy.
I would really enjoy a cashier assistant position to start off with and if possible I would like to grow in the company and move up.
I am flexible and I have a lot to learn about retail. So, basically any job in which may skills could be useful.

By having good customer service so the members will come back.
I would ask the customer if they are finding what they need and if not I would help them to the best of my ability.
