      Answer Example

"Very carefully! I manage my time by exercising the idea of 'time-blocking.' This method means that I won't incessantly check my email; instead, I will allow myself to return emails in 30-minute time blocks four times per day. Setting calendar alerts and personal deadlines for myself has also helped a lot. I prioritize deadlines and work that needs to be done, then work backward from there. When necessary, I utilize my resources and team to pitch in and contribute."

      Experienced Example

"I am somewhat obsessive about my proactive time management being scheduled into every day. This includes preparing for my day the day before. When I am getting ready to leave for the day, I dedicate five to ten minutes to lining everything up in an organized fashion so that the next morning when I sit down, I can hit the ground running. This includes lining up a clean coffee mug on my desk, making sure my space is organized and uncluttered, and a list of everything I need to tackle first laid out for me. When I get home, I lay out my freshly ironed clothes, pack my lunch, ready my morning coffee, set all my alarms, and do everything I can think of that will help me maximize my time. When I plan a project, I always plan contingency time in case things don't run smoothly or go according to plan. As a result, I am always early to work, have a strong attendance record, and always come in ahead of my deadlines."
