"Last year, I noticed our closing staff struggled to get everything done before the end of the shift. We often had to stay late, resulting in overtime hours. One of the duties that took up our time was fitting room returns. Our store didn't have a fitting room attendant. Instead, we were supposed to do returns periodically during our shifts. However, we didn't have time most days, so the fitting rooms didn't get done. I suggested that we hire an extra person during hour busiest time to be a fitting room attendant. It would only be a part-time position, but they would be entirely focused on doing fitting room returns. The store took my suggestion and hired someone within a week. It worked out well. Our part-time fitting room attendant got to most of the fitting room returns during the day, leaving far fewer returns for the closing staff to take care of during the evening, meaning we nearly always left on time."
