Whilst it was important to work quickly, it was important not to look rushed and not to rush customers, I had a few junior team members that I had to speak to about their tone and manner with customers as they weren't very friendly, usually as they were trying to concentrate on taking the order down correctly, and perhaps used the wrong phrases such as 'do you want' instead of 'would you like'. Some junior members of the team ignored or took quite some time to adhere to the advice and instruction I was giving them, so I had to use a stricter tone and explain to them that as front of house staff we are representing the business and how we behave directly impacts each customer's experience, which of course we want to be positive.
